![]() Schick, a division of Energizer Holdings, makes the four-bladed Quattro for Women and declined to comment on its next move. Gillette is marketing the first five-blade razor for women. In all, there are 35 patents pending or granted that cover the product’s technologies, designs and manufacturing processes. In addition to the five blades, it has a soft rubber handle and instead of the moisturizing strip above blades on many razors has upgraded to an oval-shaped Ribbon of Moisture that completely encircles the blades. The Venus Embrace has some slick design innovations. “Every woman can be the goddess of something, because this allows you to be your most feminine self.” ![]() “Now we’ve given women the permission to reveal her own goddess,” said Gro Frivoll, who has worked on the Venus account at BBDO for eight years. I keep on coming back to these and am happy to recommend them they work.In one advertisement, a leggy woman running with a jogging stroller is the “Goddess of Trailblazing ” in another, a woman sending a text message is the “Goddess of Communication.”Īds will appear in publications like Marie Claire, Allure, InStyle and Us Weekly and television spots will run on both network and cable, including during the Academy Awards on ABC this Sunday. They are usually available in the supermarket for somewhere between $10-$15, which is on the spendier side but you only need to buy a new packet once every 4-6 weeks, so it's not too bad. They're funky colours and an easy-to-hold (and use) design. I prefer these for a very simple reason - they leave your skin smooth, hair free, nick free, and - thanks to the moisture ribbon and whatever the blue surround is, feeling really nice! They leave bikini line less red and bumpy, underarms much more closely shaved, and legs without missed bits more so than any other disposable I have tried. The blades are further protected by a clear plastic removeable shield. The razors themselves are a clear lime, with white grip on the sides, top and bottom, a white head, with a blue area around the blades and a green 'moisture ribbon' both under and over the 5 close-set blades. The packaging on these steers away from the normal girly pinks and purples (which I do love, but still) and features a fresh lime and 'swimming pool blue' colour scheme. These are the Venus Embrace razors - one option in a huge range - which are some of the best disposables on the market, in my opinion. In the meantime, I'm loving this offering from industry giant Gilette. I've tried the just-replace-the-head option to reduce waste but haven't found one I don't lose that is readily available everywhere for refills yet! I go through a new disposable razor every couple of weeks. I definitely will keep purchasing these, their really good. The quality of these shavers are so good. I apply that first then I use this shaver. When I use these I normally use a shaving cream. The head of this shaver pivots so its easy to move across your skin. There is five blades on this shaver which provides a close shave. This shaver has a soft handle that's easy to use. It has the Gillette Venus labelling on it. The packaging of these shavers come in in this baby blue with lime green. But I guarantee that Venus will provide the best shave. ![]() There's so many different types you can choose from. As spring/summer is approaching I start to buy shavers. I like to purchase mine from my local supermarket. You can find these shavers at most stores. Gillette Venus is one of those shavers that never disappoints.
